Ryan Giggs,12-13 Manchester United Away

 

 

        On February 10, 2013, Manchester United defeated Everton 2-0 in the 26th round of the Premier League. Giggs helped Manchester United made the first goal in the 13th minute of the game. This goal made him the first player that scored 23 consecutive goals in the top league in England. On February 23, Manchester United defeated the Queens Park Rangers 2-0 in the 27th round of the Premier League, during which Giggs scored the last goal of his career in the 80th minute of the game. On March 1, Giggs and Manchester United signed a one-year contract extension. On March 5th, Manchester United lost 1-2 to Real Madrid in the second round of the Champions League quarter-finals, and Giggs completed his 1000th adult professional match. On April 22, Manchester United beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the 34th round of the Premier League, thus winning the Premier League four rounds early. This is also the 13th league championship in Giggs’ career. In the 2012-13 season, Giggs made 32 appearances representiung Manchester United in various games, scoring 5 goals and 6 assists.
        On August 11, 2013, Giggs helped Manchester United beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 in the FA Community Shield to win the championship, which was the last championship that Giggs won in his player career. In the match Manchester United against Hull City in the 34th round of the Premier League on May 6, 2014, Giggs played as a substitute after 70 minutes of the match. Manchester United made a 3-1 win, and this match became the last game of Giggs‘s career. In the 2013-14 season, Giggs represented Manchester United in 22 appearances and made 3 assists.
