Ricardo Kaká 05-06 AC Milan Away

 

 

        On April 9th, 2006, Kaka completed his very first hat-trick in the 33rd round of Serie A while playing against Chievo. In the 2005-2006 season, Kaka made 14 goals in 35 appearances in Serie A, and was named the Best Foreign Player in the league. By the end of the season, Kaka helped AC Milan moved up to the second place in the league; however, eventually AC Milan slipped to ranking third in the league due to the Calciopoli Scandal, hardly retaining its Champions League participation. Kaká made 5 goals in 12 appearances in the UEFA Champions League, helping the team to advance to the semi-finals, and he also made two appearances in the Coppa Italia.
        On 1st November 2006, Kaká made his first Champions League hat-trick in a 4–1 group stage win over the Belgian side Anderlecht at home.
        On 3rd March, 2007, Kaká scored the winning goal during overtime in the UEFA Champions League 1/8 final with the Celtics, helping the team to win 1-0. On April 24th, he scored two away goals for the team in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, while playing against Manchester United. On May 2nd he scored another goal in the second leg, which helped the team come from behind to win and advance to the final. On May 23rd, he assisted Inzaghi in the Champions League final, helping the team to revenge Liverpool 2-1 and winning the seventh Champions League trophy. In the 2006-2007 season, Kaka scored 8 goals in 31 appearances in Serie A, and was named the Best Player and Best Foreign Player in the league. He made 2 appearances in the UEFA Champions League play-offs, 13 appearances in the UEFA Champions League and scored 10 goals, which made him the Best Scorer, the Best Player and Best Striker. While playing in the semi-final rounds in Coppa Italia against Roma, Kaká and his team were eliminated from the competition after finishing a 180 minutes full game.
